05.03.07 Texas School for the Deaf - Prom Shop
We were invited by Stacy from the school to come out
and help the girls in need of Prom gowns.
When we arrived all the girls sat around and just watched us
bring in all the gowns on the racks, you could tell by the look on their
faces they were so excited. They couldn't wait to be able to begin
shopping. We then began setting up our jewelry table and getting the
make-up ready and the girls faces just began to light up!
Even girls that didn't need our assistance joined in on the
fun and dressed up and got their make overs from the volunteers.

This was such an amazing evening.
Although there was a small language barrier it was like I really
connected with some of these girls. It was a such a great experience!

We hope to be invited back again next year!
A very special thanks to two of my volunteers that took
time out of their busy schedules from UT
Emily Podhajski and Annie Marks;
you ladies sure were a great help, I don't know what we
would have done without you! You being there to help
translate sure made the language barrier much smoother!
Thank you,
Michelle, Cayce, Sonjia, Steve, Tori,
Ryan and Bree.
This event wouldn't have been possible
without your help!
